Govt releases renewable energy count

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has said that about 2330 MW grid-interactive renewable energy has been achieved during 2009-10.

According to an official statement, this consists of 1565 MW of wind power, 305 MW of small hydro power (up to 25 MW), 295 MW of cogeneration-bagasse and 153 MW of biomass power (Agro residues).
