Some Aspects of Farming in India: NSS 70th Round (January– December 2013)

This report is based on the Situation Assessment Survey (SAS) of Agricultural Households conducted in the 70th round of NSS during January 2013 to December 2013. The survey, conducted in the rural areas of the country with its two visits, was spread over 4529 villages covering 35200 households. This report provides National and State/UT level broad features pertaining to agricultural activities like area under corp, output, sale, use of agricultural inputs, access to technical advice in the field of agriculture, Minimum Support Price (MSP), crop loss ad crop insurance, etc. in respect of major crops/livestock as emanating from the survey results.
