Question raised in Lok Sabha on National Lake Conservation Programme, 29/11/2016. The National Lake Conservation Plan (NLCP) has been merged in February,
2013 with another scheme of National Wetlands Conservation Programme (NWCP) to avoid overlap and promote better synergy into a new integrated scheme of National
Plan for Conservation of Aquatic- Eco-systems (NPCA) for holistic conservation and restoration of lakes and wetlands in the country. State wise details of lakes covered
under the NPCA/NLCP programme are at Annexure.
