Question raised in Lok Sabha on Management of Wetlands, 08/12/2015. In a number of cases (Original Application No. 121 of 2013, No. 153 of 2014, No. 02 of 2015, No. 501 of 2015, etc) being heard in Hon’ble National Green Tribunal (NGT), directions have been issued from time to time for identification of wetlands as per provisions of Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2010 as well as conservation & management of wetlands in the National Capital Region and other parts of the country.
