Question raised in Lok Sabha on Green India Mission, 06/12/2016. The National Mission for a Green India (GIM) has a target of increasing forest/tree cover to the extent of 5 million hectares (mha) and to improving quality of forest/tree cover of another 5 mha of forest/non forest land. At present the GIM has been implemented to cover 30,072 hectares under plantation and 23,280 hectares under advance work. State-wise details of the same are annexed.
