Question raised in Lok Sabha on environmental pollution, 04/08/2015. In order to ensure proper disposal of industrial wastes, the Government has notified standards for the chemical sector for disposal of treated effluents and emissions and also notified The Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2008 and The Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 as amended.
