Import of Organic Foods under Food Safety and Standards (Organic Foods) Regulations, 2017

In continuation to the earlier order dated 25.07.2018, for imported organic food consignments, it has been decided to extend the period for the use of non-detachable sticker with respect of FSSAI's organic logo as required under regulation 5 (1) of Food Saftey and Standards (Organic Foods) Regulations, 2017, up to 31st December, 2018. The import consignments claimed as organic food items, which were exported prior to 31.08.2018 may also be given relaxation for compliance to FSS (Organic Foods) Regulations, 2017. Further, all other conditions will remain same as mentioned in earlier order dated 25.07.2018 and directions dated 29.06.2018.
