A health-centred framework for establishing ambient air quality standards

Based on the need to establish scientifically robust health-based standards, this working paper evaluates the global best practices for setting or revising air quality standards. Through this, suggest a structured approach to revising the current and future NAAQS – through an inclusive, expert-driven institutional process, with appropriate timelines, evidence integration, and public participation for the Indian context.
