Haryana Non-Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Amendment Bill, 2013

The Haryana Non-Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Amendment Bill, 2013 was passed to provide for challaning and compounding in view of usage of plastic carry bags. The issues and challenges of maintaining clean civic conditions are being continuously addressed by necessary legislations as well as creating awareness among the residents. Given the widespread usage of plastic carry bags, it was desirable that the provision of challaning and compounding be made. Therefore, there was a need to address the issue of non-biodegradable garbage in terms of manufacturing, sale, distribution, stock, usage and disposal.
