This draft road policy of Delhi envisions reduction in road accidents as well as fatalities by 30% between 2018 and 2020 and by 80% between 2018 and 2025 with a minimum 10% reduction yearly. It focuses on four Es — education, enforcement, engineering and emergency care.

Delhi government has prepared a draft ‘Delhi Road Safety Policy’ to ensure safety of all road users in the capital. Priority has been given to pedestrians and cyclists and to achieve zero fatalities due to accidents. The policy is now being put up in the public domain for inviting suggestions and objections. The policy envisions reduction in road accidents as well as fatalities by 30% between 2018 and 2020 and by 80% between 2018 and 2025 with a minimum 10% reduction yearly. The policy focuses on four Es — education, enforcement, engineering and emergency care.
