Draft Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2015

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has published the draft “Bio-Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2015” to enable the prescribed authorities to implement the rules more effectively, thereby, reducing the bio- medical waste generation and also for its proper treatment and disposal and to ensure environmentally sound management of these wastes. “Bio-Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2015” shall apply to all persons who generate, collect, receive, store, transport, treat, dispose, or handle bio-medical waste in any form.
