Communities across the globe can build resilience to climate change by re-inventing old water storage strategies and investing in new ones, according to a new report by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a member of the CGIAR global partnership, which unites organizations engaged in research for a food secure future.

This report published by UNESCO, the International Social Science Council and OECD, highlights connections between global environmental change, particularly climate change, and challenges such as accelerated production and consumption, population growth & widespread patterns of inequality.

In pursuance to the decision taken by the Standing Committee of the NBWL in its 28th Meeting held on 20th March 2013, a sub-committee under the chairmanship of Dr. M.K. Ranjitsinh, Member, National Board for Wildlife, was constituted by the Ministry of Environment and Forests for developing ‘Guidelines for Roads in Protected Areas’.
