Cash Transfer of Food Subsidy Rules, 2015

The Rules provide for state governments to implement the direct cash transfer scheme for food subsidy beneficiaries. The central government will transfer funds to states/UTs on a monthly basis for this purpose.

Notification regarding supply of BS-IV Auto Fuel to additional cities

BS IV compliant four wheelers mandatory from April 1, 2017 all over country. With this only those newly manufactured four-wheeled vehicles, which are complaint with the BS-IV standards will be allowed to registered and move on roads with effect from the notified dates in the notified areas.

Progress Report: Subsidence in the Central Valley, California

Subsidence caused by groundwater pumping in the Central Valley has been a problem for decades. Over the last few years, interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) has been used from satellites and aircraft to produce maps of subsidence with sensitivity of fractions of an inch.
