In order to give importance to Road Safety and to reduce the incidence of Road Accidents in the UT of the Puducherry, the Transport Department, Puducherry based on the guidelines of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, New Delhi has prepared, "The Draft Road Safety Policy and Action Plan for the UT of Puducherry".

The total quantum of plastic waste generated in the country from 60 major cities is estimated to be 3501 tonnes per day (TPD).

Question raised in Lok Sabha on impact of climate change on monuments, 04/08/2015. Taj Mahal in Agra has been identified as a monument, which needs to be protected from air pollution. No nationwide exercise has been undertaken to identify specific monuments which are vulnerable to climatic change and air pollution.

Question raised in Lok Sabha on human-animal conflict, 04/08/2015. Incidences of loss of human lives and damage to crops by wild animals are reported in various parts of the country from time to time. Management of forest and wildlife is the responsibility of State Governments.

Question raised in Lok Sabha on Green House Gas Emission, 04/08/2015. As per a report on ‘India: Greenhouse Gas Inventory-2007’, the net Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from India in 2007 with Land Use Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) were 1727.71 million tons of CO2 equivalent (eq).
