The 2012 Study on Forest Financing expands and updates the 2008 study and provides a systematic and objective analysis of funding sources and gaps among and within thematic areas, geographic regions, country groups and individual countries, through a review of existing, emerging and evolving funding sources and mechanisms. This study is the result of extensive preparation and collaboration among members of the Advisory Group on Finance of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (AGF/CPF) between June 2011 and June 2012. This study draws on the expertise of the members of the CPF and contributions from a wide range of consultants, experts, resource persons and governments.
