Green energy to get legal boost

STATES may have to use a prescribed level of green energy in their total electricity consumption as per a proposed legislation by the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE). The government is working on a legislation to boost the growth of renewable energy in the country, MNRE secretary Deepak Gupta said.
