About: 
Sarath Guttikunda is the founder of UrbanEmissions.Info (New Delhi, India), a TED Fellow, an affiliate assistant research professor at Desert Research Institute (Reno, USA), and developer of the SIM-air (Simple Interactive Models for Better Air Quality) tools, dedicated to sharing information on air pollution and climate change between cities. His research interests focus on studying the impact of urban emissions at local, regional, and global scales. He is currently involved in developing India’s first operational air quality forecasting system, piloting for NCT Delhi, scheduled for launch before the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Romi Roy is an architect and urban designer and currently holds Senior Consulting positions with the Delhi Development Authority and the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, GNCTD.  She is a Member of the High Court Special Task Force on Urban Transportation and advises at the Local Area Planning Monitoring Committee with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. At the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning and Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC) established by the DDA, she provides policy and design support on Transit Oriented Development in Delhi. She has extensive international experience with public transit related projects and projects integrating urban design and planning strategies with infrastructure and resource management systems in the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Mukul Sanwal has served in various policy positions in the Government of India and represented India as a principal negotiator at the UNCED, Agenda 21, Rio Declaration and the Climate Change Treaty. He joined the United Nations as a policy adviser to the Executive Director of the UNEP in 1993 and later moved in the same position to the UNFCCC Secretariat, where he served till 2007. He was closely associated with the organization of the negotiations leading to the Kyoto Protocol (1997) and the World Summit on Sustainable Development (2002). His current research interests center around governance of sustainable development, climate policy analysis, strategies for institutional reform in the UN, innovative means to support international cooperation, and the development of partnerships between governments, private sector and local communities for environmentally sustainable economic growth. He has published extensively on sustainable development, global environmental management and environmental law.
