Previously, he was a Senior Fellow at Tellus Institute where he led the Global Politics and Institutions Program. He has an extensive 20-year research background in transportation, energy systems, and the institutional and political context of environmental policy-making. He is broadly concerned with the interactions among social, political, technological and environmental factors relating to sustainable development.

Dr. Randeep Guleria is Professor in the Department of Medicine at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is the first Indian to do the Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He has been also associated with Royal Brompton Hospital London as a Clinical research Fellow. Dr. Guleria has several awards to his credit. He has been an expert in the World Health Organization (WHO) committee to formulate Indian guidelines for the COPD & Asthma. He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Group of expert (SAGE) working group of the World Health Organization on Influenza Vaccines and Immunization. He has more than 200 research publications and is actively involved in patient education & health awareness.
