EY’s Business risks in mining and metals 2015–2016 report is based on EY discussions with leading global mining and metals companies, and analysis of the operating environment for companies in the sector. It is EY’s eighth annual report analyzing and ranking the top strategic business risks for companies in the sector.

New official data show that the proportion of Indian households using the Public Distribution System has nearly doubled over seven years. These households are relying more on the PDS and less on open market sources than before.

Thermochemical Biomass Gasification is a high temperature process that produces a fuel gas, which after cleaning, can provide a good environmental performance and high flexibility in applications. The process is used to convert biomass (solid biomass, wastes) into a a combustible gas that can be used for different purposes.

Cities accommodate nearly 31% of India's current population and contribute 63% of GDP (Census 2011). Urban areas are expected to house 40% of India's population and contribute 75% of India's GDP by 2030.
