Renewable energy to enhance climate and development ambitions and strengthen civil society inclusion in Nepal

The analysis set out in this document covers the project country Nepal. It offers an assessment of the current state of climate, energy and development policies and trends and places this in the context of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), which are required under the Paris Agreement. It examines how renewables can contribute to more ambitious NDCs to mitigate climate change and advance national development through unleashing the socio-economic benefits that renewable energy (RE) deployment can generate.
