Question raised in Lok Sabha on Discharge of Sewage into Ganga River, 09/03/2017. As per data available from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the total sewage generation in Ganga basin states from all the Class-I and Class-II cities is 11386.60 Million Liters per Day (MLD). The total industrial effluent generation discharging into river Ganga is 501 MLD.
