Consideration of projects for environmental clearance based on Comprehensive Environmental Pollution Index (CEPI): Re-imposing of Moratorium in respect of critically polluted areas

The Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) has imposed moratorium on environmental clearance for eight industrial projects – Indore & Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh), Vapi (Gujarat), Ghaziabad (UP), Ludhiana (Punjab), Patancheru-Bollaram (Andhra Pradesh), Panipat (Haryana) and Jharsuguda (Orissa).
