Singrauli: The Coal Curse a report was released by retired Justice Suresh Hosbet, a member of a Fact Finding team that visited the area in July this year. The report documented the impacts of unbridled coal mining and thermal power plants on the environment and the people of the region. This Fact Finding Mission was undertaken to bear witness to and expose the human suffering and environmental destruction that coal mining has had in a region that is promoted as the power capital of the country.
