SHILLONG: Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh said the State DGP SB Kakati has been directed to examine the demand for setting up of a permanent police outpost at Nongjri village in West Khasi Hills.

The demand for the outpost was made by the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Border Area (SKRSBA) on the ground that the village is a major commercial centre and a hub of coal export and import.
