CM for centres cooperation in harnessing alternative sources of energy

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan met the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Shri Farooq Abdullah and sought cooperation in harnessing alternative soruces of energy. Minister for New and Rewable Energy Shri Ajay Vishnoi, Minister for Forests Shri Sartaj Singh were present.

All non-conventional sources will be tapped for increase in power production: CM

Along with use of conventional resources, other sources like solar, wind, biomass, under-ground energy will also be tapped for increasing power production in the state. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said this while performing the bhumi pujan of the First solar Energy Park at Ganeshpura Village in Rajgarh district today.

NER to run 3 DRM offices on solar power

LUCKNOW: In a major step towards energy conservation, the North Eastern Railway (NER) has decided to run its three offices of divisional railway managers (DRMs) on solar power. General manager UCD Shreni announced here on Wednesday that DRM offices of Lucknow, Izzatnagar and Varanasi would switch over to solar power from March 2011 onwards.
