Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the principal man-made greenhouse gas and the primary atmospheric component of the global carbon cycle. Precise ground-based measurements of CO2 made since the late 1950s indicate that the atmospheric CO2 concentration has increased from ~310 to over 380 parts per million (ppm) over this period [1].

Study on statistical relationship between ground water quality parameters in Nambiyar river basin, Tamil Nadu, India

4

The present study deals with statistical analysis of physico-chemical parameters of ground water quality in Nambiyar river basin. The quality of ground water has been assessed by using correlation coefficient (r) between all parameters. A systematic correlation and regression study showed linear relationship among different water quality parameters.

Adsorption studies of fluoride on activated carbon derived from royal gulmohar fruit shell

4

The removal of fluoride from synthetic sample by adsorption on activated carbon prepared from gulmohar fruit shell was studied to determine the effects of dosages and pH accordingly to equilibrium and kinetics. The removal of fluoride by adsorption was studied on two types of carbons i.e., physically activated and chemically activated with I.R's of 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75.
