Question raised in Lok Sabha on Revival/Rejuvenation of Rivers, 10/05/2016. As per the report published by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in February 2015, 302 polluted river stretches have been identified on 275 rivers based on Bio-chemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) levels, a key indicator of organic pollution. The State-wise details are at Annexure-I.The State-wise details of rivers covered under NRCP, including river Pamba in Kerala, are at Annexure-II. The details of budget allocation & expenditure incurred during the last two years and current financial year under the NRCP, State-wise are at Annexure-III.
