Question raised in Rajya Sabha on funds for repair and renovation of ponds, 04/08/2014. To the question regarding the details of public ponds in the country in 1990 and state wise, Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuventation, Parliamentary Affairs and Textiles (Independent Charge) Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar stated that "Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation do not maintain the records of public ponds in the country".
