Social audit has been started in Santhal Pargana Region of Jharkhand with the introduction of citizen action initiatives in the year 2005.  Till 2006 there had been six numbers social audit cum public hearing in the region that being carried out by citizens initiatives network.

Global warming represents a major threat for food security, especially in tropical countries. It is expected that global warming will worsen the drought and the irregularity of rainfall in many countries. This report presents the information on nutritional intake by the Indian population. Among the different nutrients only three nutrients: viz. calorie, protein and fat - are discussed in this report. This report gives an idea about intake of these nutrients in different monthly per capita expenditure classes from different items of food.
