India is well-placed to benefit from the successful development of the solar energy industry. It is hoped that this guidebook will encourage project developers and financiers in India and elsewhere to adopt industry best practices in the development, construction, operation and financing of solar projects.

There are currently around 90 cities that India's Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) identified as critically polluted. Particulate matter (PM), especially fine particulate matter (PM2.5), dominates the concern. Other air pollutants such as NO2, ozone (O3), and air toxics are also problematic.

This guide was jointly initiated by Stakeholder Forum and the Commonwealth Secretariat in response to the perceived ‘knowledge gap’ on the history and dynamics of global governance for sustainable development.

This publication recognize the challenges and constraints faced by city dwellers in making heart healthy choices, particularly children. It also dispel the myth that cardiovascular (CVD) can be prevented through “simple” behaviour changes.
