Question raised in Lok Sabha on Pollution Level, 26/07/2016. Based on monitoring under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme during 2011-2015, Four (04) cities are identified as non-attainment cities with respect to NO2 and Ninety Four (94) cities identified as non-attainment cities with respect to Particulate Matter (PM10). The details of non-attainment cities state/UT wise including West Bengal is given at Annexure-I. The financial assistance provided by the Ministry for checking pollution under various schemes, State/UT wise including West Bengal is given at Annexure-II.
