Ban on use of polythene, thermocol in Jorhat

JORHAT: The district administration imposed ban on the use of polythene carry bags, plates, water glasses made of thermocol. In this regard a meeting was held yesterday in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner, Jorhat to discuss the cleanness of Jorhat city.

In the meeting besides the Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Jain, the Chairman of Jorhat Municipal Board, representatives of the conscious citizen forum, officials of Chambers of Commerce, retailers and whole sellers, Drug Dealers’ Association, the Fish Seller Association, representatives of different NGOs took part in the meeting
