8 killed as heavy rain continues in north India

NEW DELHI: Eight persons were killed as heavy rain continued to lash north India on Sunday. Uttarakhand bore the brunt, as it rained 48 hours, a record for 44 years, throwing life out of gear, washing away several important roads and affecting traffic.
