Landslide is a common natural hazard that usually occurs in mountainous areas. Rapid urban development and high traffic intensity movements have been hampered to a great extent by phenomenon of landslides. In the present study, Maco Landslide Hazard Zonation was carried out in the Bodi-Bodimettu ghats section, Western Ghats, Theni district.

The Dibru river basin of Assam is investigated to examine the influence of active structure by applying an integrated study on geomorphology, morphotectonics, subsurface structure, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) using topographic map, IRS 1D LISS III, IRS P6 LISS III, SRTM, seismic and subsurface data.

A study was carried out in village Mohamadabad, Nalgonda district, Andhra Pradesh to demonstrate the potential of high-resolution remote sensing data in generating soil resource database at village level that would facilitate natural resource developmental planning. For this study, detail soil resource database was generated by interpreting IRS Resourcesat-1 LISS-IV + Cartosat-1 merged data and by undertaking soil survey and soil analysis.

"Mishri" is one among the various smokeless tobacco products used in the central and southern part of India. The use of newer tobacco products is increasing not only among men, but also among children, teenagers, and women of the reproductive age-group. The objective of the study was to study socio-demographic profile of mishri users among pregnant women admitted for delivery into Krishna Hospital, Karad - Satara, Maharashtra.

The study examined the validity of simple and novel measures of generalized obesity- [body mass index (BMI, kg/m 2 ), fat mass index (FMI, kg/m 2 ), and body fat percent (BF%)] and central obesity- [waist circumference (WC, cm), waist-hip ratio (WHR), and waist-to-height ratio (WC/ht ratio)] against BF% and BMI as criteria. It also aimed to predict fat-free mass index (FFMI, kg/m 2 ), FMI, and BF% ranges for various BMI categories.
